## Description

This is a total noob post. I’m trying to set up a blog filter in Webflow using your Attributes tool, and I’m stuck on how to connect it to a **multi-reference field**. I have watched the documentation video multiple times, but I’m clearly missing something!

Each blog post has one or more categories (like Scale, AWS, etc.), and I want users to be able to filter posts based on those categories. Some posts may belong to more than one category.

The categories are in one CMS entitled The Buzz Categories, and the blog posts are in a CMS entitled The Buzz Posts. I’ve gone through the documentation, but I’m not sure how to get the filter to recognize and work with the multi-reference field. Can you walk me through how this should be set up?

Thanks so much — really appreciate the help!

Alyssa

## Expected Behavior

Filter blog posts by category, from a multi-reference CMS field

Hey @alyssa! For v2, if we are not using List Nest to add the nested multi-reference list, we need to manually define the list as a `fs-list-element = list` so the filters can properly recognise these fields.

Could you add it to your setup? It should look like this

Also note that the `fs-list-value` attribute is not needed in the collection list items, you can safely remove it 🙂
