# CMS Select and setting the option value

Looking at the CMS Select docs I can see how to tag content for the dropdown text, but I don’t see an attribute for setting the option values.

In my use case I need the drop down to have the value of each select item set to the slug of the collection item.

Am I missing an attribute?

Hey @memetican! There is no extra attribute to set the option value, this should be done by default 🤔

Can you share a read-only link?
