## Description

I have implemented the finsweet CMP on my website through web GTM. Every time I refresh the page or navigate to a new page the session gets refreshed. This is because the \_ga\_xxxx cookie gets recreated.

## Site URL

- URL: [https://choosenul.webflow.io/](https://choosenul.webflow.io/)
- Webflow Read-only link: [Webflow - Choosenul](https://preview.webflow.com/preview/choosenul?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=designer&utm_content=choosenul&preview=16b88290f906a69865ce94d3c7a82784&workflow=preview)

## Steps to Reproduce

1. Load the staging website URL [https://choosenul.webflow.io/](https://choosenul.webflow.io/) (NOT PROD)
2. Check dev tools \> cookies \> \_ga\_XXXX cookie \> number that start with sXXXX or go to network and check the calls to GA \> payload \> sid
3. Navigate to a new page or refresh
4. The cookie value that starts with sXXXX changes every time, and sid (which is that value) changes each time
5. That causes all pages to be different sessions

## Expected Behavior

sid should be the same in the same session

## Actual Behavior

sid is different on every call

I did more testing and the session id does NOT change all the time, but if you keep refreshing and moving around it does.

I followed the implementation from the docs so I have no idea why this happens.

Thanks Luis.

If you try on Firefox the sid will change all the time even when I accept all cookies.

Hi Luis,

I tried to find a workaround to this by managing my own ga\_session\_id but that had quite a nasty side effect of getting lots of Unassigned channels in GA traffic acquisition report and (not set) for source/medium.

At the end I had to remove the CMP and move to CookieFirst. It all works fine now.

I like what you guys are doing, so I am adding this here for you to have a look at. When using web GTM / server GTM with stape something it not working and the sid of GA constantly changes. My insight is that it looks like a racing issue but I am not sure.

Hope this helps to debuge
