# Error with Wized Weather Widget reading API

Hi, I’m going through the Wized weather widget tutorial. I followed the instructions exactly as explained them and I’m getting a 401 message saying it’s an invalid API. I pulled the API from openweather just like he said. Here are screenshots.

Hey @jakeschlegel86! It seems error 401 refers to an invalid API key used. can you please check you have the correct string in your `Value` field?

I’m guessing it’s just not an old enough API yet? I just made the account. I’ll wait a couple hours and see what happens. Thanks!
