Do V2 attributes (CMS combine) work with Finsweet Slider Component?

Should be a pretty simply answer but do Attributes work with Finsweet Components?

In my specific case I have been trying to combine multiple collection lists into a Finsweet Slider component but this really doesn’t want to work. I have tried initiating the combine first but still no luck. Would really appreciate some clarification.

I’ve found the issue but has raised another question.

I have 3 collections coming together, Resources (slider element), Blog (instance), Case study (instance). If on any page, the Resources collection has no items then it breaks across all template pages. My assumption would be that we could use a static slider instead as the main list and then combine all 3 collections to this list. However, can’t get this working. Does this require a different set up?

@Support-Pedro @Support-Luis Would really appreciate some help on this.

I now have two pages with identical Slider Components with the below set up.

solutions/media-advertising (working)

our-platform/segmentation-activation (broken)

Both combine three collections Resources (slider), Blog (combine instance), Customer Story (combine instance). Contrary to my above message I have now added a Resource item whenever this slider appears.

I can’t understand why this doesn’t work on our-platform/. The set up is identical. Apologies for the series of messages. Please focus on this one and ignore previous. Would really appreciate a look at this. Thank you!

Hey @sam.hogan!

This is a slightly more complex setup than usual, so I’m currently working on finding the best solution for you. In the meantime, could you please share your Webflow read-only link so I can take a closer look at your setup?

Hey @Support-Pedro , thanks! Have DM’d you preview link. Sensitive client site currently

Hi @Support-Pedro @Support-Luis sorry to push on this but we are due to go live in the next 24 hours.

From my side, I just really need to know what the limitations are of using the Finsweet slider component with CMS Combine so that I can build accordingly. Would really appreciate a high level understanding why this is currently not working. This way, if necessary I can find a different solution. Thank you!

Hi @sam.hogan! I apologize for the delay and the inconvenience.

Components and Attributes do work together, but the issue seems related to empty CMS collections. When a collection has no items, the List attribute may not initialize correctly, which can also affect the slider. Other factors like script loading order or initialization timing could also play a role.

I’m checking how to fix it, but I need a little more time. I’ll let you know when in the moment I find a good solution. Thanks for your patience and your understanding!

So I could add modal to a cms slider collection so when I press any given card in the CMS slider a popup-like detail could come up?
