Folders is disabled — ballpark ETA on the Webflow App?

Just started a new Webflow project and I see the message from Finsweet about the Extension being updated. Folders is grayed out. This is super critical to workflow, easily one of the most time-saving features — just wondering if there’s a ballpark ETA on the Webflow app? It just says we start development “this year”.

Is there an alternative in the meantime?

I had just started using folders for renaming Relume components and then this happened. I’m hoping the folders feature is back up and running soon. Did you find an alternative?

Came here to pile on. Dang, how unfortunate!

I’ve also been relying on these features, like merge combo classes and delete breakpoints!

Please, ANY timeframe for the disabled extension features to be re-instated would be appreciated! Finsweet?

I was mainly missing the CSS class reordering feature — relied on it constantly.
Thanks to a tip from Timothy Ricks, I found a workaround: enable Developer Mode in your browser and manually install the older Finsweet extension (v0.19.2). You can grab it here:

Still works for now!

Woop Woop. Thanks! Seems to work for now!

Seems to struggle… but at least I got to delete the breakpoint I wanted!

Hello @here!

Apologies for the inconvenience, we’ve had to temporarily remove some extension features due to recent changes in Webflow’s internal APIs.

The good news is that we’re actively working on bringing them back (and making them even better!) in a dedicated Webflow app.

While we don’t have an exact ETA just yet, we’re aiming for a release in late Q3 or early Q4 of this year.

Thanks Luis - Thanks for a rough ETA - we look forward to the new experience.

Wow, I did not see any of these replies to my post until just now (25 days later). I actually DID find an excellent alternative called Attriflow. It’s on the Webflow App Marketplace here: Attriflow App - Webflow Apps & Integrations I would highly recommend it. Once I got used to it it’s incredibly powerful.

Just as an aside if you wanna batch rename and Folders are down. I just created a new project in Cursor and connected the MCP server. (Never tried it before, but works well if you stick to projects and you can’t connect projects across workspaces but you can have as many MCPs with different projects as you need.

Anyhow I just tested adding some relume components and then I had cursor rename all the classes / folders for those components. So if you desperately need to rename AI can via MCP.
