Infinite Scroll effect with CMS Slider

Hey everyone,

I’m aware that the Webflow native Slider has limitations when it comes to achieving a true infinite scroll effect, but I’m hoping to create the illusion of infinite scroll with an auto-looping CMS slider (featuring product categories).

My goal is to duplicate the collection list items enough times (around 30-35 items total) to avoid any noticeable gap at the end and ensure a seamless, continuous scroll. Since users won’t scroll infinitely, they likely won’t notice the end of the loop.

Is there a way to duplicate or “multiply” the CMS collection items so they appear multiple times within the same slider? Or, if not, any other workaround suggestions to make the slider feel like it’s infinitely looping?

Thanks in advance for any ideas or solutions!

Hello @hey4! I do not recommend the duplication of items, however, I am sure this can be done natively with either of these solutions

I can help if you face any issue with either option so please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hey Luis,

Thanks for getting back to me. I set up the CMS Slider with attributes, and the infinite repeat slides are working perfectly on mobile! There’s still some odd behavior on desktop, but it’s not an issue for this client build.

I’ll definitely try out Finsweet Components on future projects—sounds promising. Apart from saving time, are there any notable differences between using attributes and components?

Thanks!
