"Invalid authorization code" when logging into the app from Webflow

Description

Hi everyone,

I’m getting an “Invalid authorization code” error when I try to log into the Consent Pro app from within Webflow. I can’t access the app at all because of this.

Important context: the consent banner itself works perfectly in production. The runtime script is installed in the site <head> and the banner loads, captures consent, and emits the Consent Mode v2 signals correctly (verified in GTM Preview — denied by default, granted after acceptance). So the consent setup is fine.. the problem is only that I can’t log into the app to manage it.

Site URL

Required: Please provide a staging/production URL where we can see the issue

  • URL: arqea.clinic

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Webflow project (arqea.clinic) in the Designer
  2. Launch the Consent Pro app from the Apps panel
  3. Attempt to log in / authorize → the “Invalid authorization code” error appears and access is blocked]

Expected Behavior

The app authorizes successfully and opens the Consent Pro dashboard so I can manage settings and run a site scan.

Actual Behavior

The login/authorization step fails with “Invalid authorization code” and the app never loads. I cannot reach the dashboard.

Additional Context

  • Browser: Chrome 120
  • Device: macOS

Already tried: logging out/in, clearing session, and an incognito window.. error persists.

Hey @fmvnprojects!

Since you’ve already tried incognito, logging out/in, and clearing your session, this sounds like it needs a closer look on our end — we’re flagging it to the team now.

One more thing worth trying in the meantime: a completely different browser if you haven’t already. We’ve seen similar Consent Pro login issues clear up that way occasionally, so it’s worth a shot before we dig deeper. :flexed_biceps:

To help the team narrow this down faster, could you share a couple of things? :folded_hands:

  • Are you logging in with a Google account or email/password?
  • Has this app worked for you on this project before, or is this your first time trying to log in?

We’ll follow up here once we have more to go on.

Hi Finn,

To answer your questions:

  • I log in with a Google account.
  • Yes, the app has worked on this project before. In fact the runtime banner is still live and working in production. The login issue appeared only recently.

Happy to provide anything else that helps narrow it down. Thanks!
