Reduce file size of Consent Pro

Description

I was wondering if there was any way (or any future plans) to reduce the file size of the Consent Pro script?

While I know you implemented async previously to improve performance, a really important part of what I do is optimise my client’s websites to have a lower carbon footprint.

Unfortunately, this almost always comes down to page weight, so even optimising for performance on initial load, I still need to optimise for minimised data transfer.

At the moment, the Consent Pro script is weighing in at over 1MB

I was wondering if there are any methods of reducing the file size of this, or if there’s a manual way to include a minified version of the script without using the Consent Pro Webflow app?

If not, are there any plans to optimise this code anymore?

Hey @lucian!

We are working on an update that will reduce the file size by up to 10 times its current size!

The update should be live at the start of 2026

Awesome news thanks @Support-Luis - also which socials? I couldn’t tell where you guys are active.

Is there a rough idea of how long very close is? Just curious as I’m launching a project soon where file size is going to be important, so I’m debating whether to include Consent Pro here or not depending on how far out that release is.
