Webflow CMS collection with different layout pages

Hi guys!

Does Finsweet have any solution for creating different layout pages inside the same CMS collection?
Thank very much!!

@info31

Yes, you can create different layouts within the same CMS collection! Here’s how to approach this:

The simplest way is to use conditional visibility with a dropdown field in your CMS :thinking:

  1. Add a “Layout Type” dropdown field to your collection with options like “Layout A”, “Layout B”, etc.
  2. On your template page, create different layout sections
  3. Add conditional visibility to each section (Settings panel → Conditions)
  4. Set each section to only show when your Layout Type field matches the appropriate value

This way, when someone views a CMS item, they’ll only see the layout design that matches what you selected in the CMS.

If you need more complex layout switching, our CMS Filter attribute could help organize and display different layouts based on various conditions.

I have read somethings about this solution… but if I have 30+ different layouts, wouldn’t this “overcharge“ the template page? Making it heavier, slower or something? :thinking:

Hi @info31

Unfortunately Finsweet has no relevant solution for what you hope to achieve at the moment

We can only help you, for instance, filter content after you’ve whipped up something using the regular Webflow offering

Thanks
