Why does Consent Pro need to send an e-mail?

Hi, i’m trying to understand why the preferences panel in opt-in mode is structured as a form and is sending an e-mail everytime someone will save their preferences?
It’s a problem in our case, where we’re already using the form for another purpose, and we don’t want to submerge our inbox with this type of notification.

Thank you in advance !

Hey @serviceinformatique!

The preferences panel uses a form structure because it needs to capture and save user consent choices. However, this shouldn’t be triggering email notifications through your existing form setup.

Could you check if your Consent Pro component is placed inside or conflicting with another form element on your page? Also, can you share your staging URL so we can take a closer look at the implementation?

In the meantime you can try disabling the email notifications in the Form Block settings → Send to, you can disable email notifications for the specific form being used by Consent Pro.

I’ve checked, and the Consent Pro component is rightly placed. Following your answer, I’ve checked the settings, and discovered an option with the connected App, mentionned as “Send form data to Webflow”. I tried it, and in fact, it’s not using the initial form setup to send and e-mail.
Thank you for your time !
