Auto-Sync Functionality for CMS Bridge – Any Timeline for Implementation?

Hi Finsweet Team,

first of all, thanks for all the work you’ve put into CMS Bridge. It’s an essential tool in our Webflow workflows and has become a core part of how we manage content for multiple client projects.

However, one major limitation is becoming increasingly difficult to work around: the lack of an automatic sync between Airtable and Webflow.

For our use case, manual syncs are not practical. We rely on structured, automated processes where content editors update Airtable and expect changes to flow into Webflow without manual intervention. Especially now that CMS Bridge has been available for a while, it would be incredibly helpful to understand:

  • Is an Auto-Sync feature planned?

  • If yes, is there a rough timeline for release?

  • If no timeline exists, is this something the team is actively considering?

This functionality would significantly improve the usability of CMS Bridge for agencies and teams who need consistent, automated publishing flows. It would also save a lot of time spent manually triggering syncs in the Dashboard.

Thanks in advance for any Information.

Hey @wolfgang.derigo

Auto-sync functionality isn’t currently available in CMS Bridge. The platform requires manual syncing through the Dashboard at this time.

CMS Bridge has been actively developed with regular feature updates throughout 2024 - including Self-Reference Field compatibility, Button Field compatibility, improved sync speed, and enhanced stability for Reference Fields. But auto-sync hasn’t appeared in any changelog or roadmap communications we have.

For timeline and feature planning questions, we recommend reaching out directly to support@finsweet.com. The team there can provide more specific information about whether auto-sync is on the roadmap, potential timeline estimates, and alternative workflow approaches.

In the meantime, you might consider optimizing your workflow by:

  • Creating a dedicated Airtable view called “:high_voltage: Synced with website”
  • Adding a Single Select Field for “:robot: Sync Status” with options like “Draft” and “Ready to Sync :high_voltage:
  • Filtering the view to only show “Ready to Sync” items
  • Linking your Last Modified Time Field to the Sync Status field for better control

This approach gives you more control over what gets synced during manual triggers, though we understand it doesn’t solve the automation requirement.

@Support-Luis or @Support-Pedro can help if you need additional assistance.

Hey - just trying to set this up, I followed the video and set up the “Synced with Website step” but the video doesnt really explain why this is useful, i get that changing that field changes the last modified time - but after you run the sync, does the “Sync Status” field reset? is there a more comprehensive explanation of this somewhere?

So i just ran a sync which is great but all the items which i maked as “ready to sync” all still say “ready to sync” in airtable after the sync, so, do we have to change them all back? but will that not switch the last modified date again if i change it?
