Consent Pro banner not switching languages on site

Consent Pro banner isn’t properly switching languages across my localized sites.

I followed all tutorials and I managed to implement the cookie banner, and I translated it in all 3 languages of our website (following the guidelines, I Converted the Consent Pro component into a Webflow Component.). But when I exit Webflow and go to our website, the cookie banner remains in German in all 3 sites even on the English and Italian one.

My Read-only link: Webflow - profitize

my website: www.profitize.io

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open site as new user / incognito
  2. Make sure site appears in German, then change site language in Italian, than English and you will see that the cookie banner language remains in German and doesn’t switch to the right site language.
  3. Accept/reject cookie consent

Expected Behavior

English site should have the cookie banner in English, Italian site should have the cookie banner in Italian

Actual Behavior

in all 3 sites, the cookie banner is in german.

Screenshots

the first pic is the screenshot of what happens in our website - which is wrong (it s the italian site with cookie banner in german)

the second pic is what happens in webflow - for instance, the site is in english and the cookie banner is in english - this is correct and should happen when i exit webflow.

Hey @martina!

I think I know what’s happening with your language switching issue. Even though you’ve set up Webflow Localization correctly, there’s likely one simple setting causing the problem.

The most common culprit is the Global Banner setting in Consent Pro. :flexed_biceps: Even after converting to a Webflow Component, if Global Banner remains enabled, it can interfere with localization.

Quick things to check:

  1. Make sure ‘Use Global Banner’ is completely unchecked in the Consent Pro app Configure tab

  2. Verify your Consent Pro Webflow Component appears on every localized page (not just the template)

  3. For each language locale:

    • Switch to that language in the Localization dropdown
    • Find the Consent Pro component in Navigator
    • Right-click and select “Translate to [language]”
    • Translate all text elements within the component
  4. Try testing in an incognito window to rule out caching issues

Since it works in Webflow preview but shows German on all live language versions, I’m pretty confident the Global Banner might still be active or the component translations aren’t applying correctly.

Could you check these settings? If everything looks right but it’s still not working, @Support-Luis or @Support-Pedro can take a closer look at your specific setup.

Thank you so much for your support, I disabled the Global Banner and it finally worked!
Since I had already done the translations, I only had to make that change.

Thank you again!:slightly_smiling_face:
