Modal IX2 or JS or custom CSS for the best site performance

I’m curious which option is the best for displaying modals such as signups modals. IX2, JS, or to create a new custom CSS method to open modals.

From Alex’s technical deep dives, and with Webflow’s new CSS properties, I’m looking for an improve modal experience since it seems native Webflow interactions is dramatically slowing down my site.

Modals do not consistently open with Webflow interactions.

Hey @Chad! The IX version uses Webflow interactions to show and hide the modals, if you are looking to avoid these interactions definitely give the JS version a shot :slight_smile:

I’ve used both to a good extent and find them both not quite reliable on larger sites. I’m looking for more guidance on the subject!
