Client Billing Cookie Component

Hi There

I have a website that is ready to go live, using the Cookie Component. I’m trying to navigate client billing without making it overly complicated for my client.

So at the moment I have a Freelancer Workspace. What I would normally do is once the website is ready, i’d transfer the ownership of the project to my clients workspace and then they would manage the billing from there on in their own account using their own credit cards etc.

How does that work with Finsweet Cookie Component? If i transfer the ownership does the Cookie component go with that and then they just add a plan on their side? Do i need to add the plan on my side first and then transfer? I’ve agreed with the client that we’d pass the cost on to them and they would have the lifetime usage license for their project using their details.

Hello @andre.murrell!

The subscription ownership is linked to the Finsweet account. In this case, your client can create an account at my.finsweet.com, where they can:

  • Purchase the subscription themselves and link it by adding their production domain.
  • Receive an ownership transfer.

I recommend the first option, but we can proceed with whichever approach you feel is best.
