We have some CMS items that have been live on the site for some time (therefore would have been indexed automatically every 72 hours as is standard for Webflow for some time) and are still not showing for some users. Both when they use the filtering system or the search bar - there are always results missing. It is a member site that uses Memberstack (as recommended) and then we used CMS Filter and CMS Load to set up to sorting of the CMS items.
The main user having issues sent me some screenshots after they recently cleared their cache and they sign into our site several times a week - so is a regular user. I am the admin for the site, and have not been able to recreate the issue - but I don’t know if my role helps.
Hey @elly! This may be caused by the way CMS Load caches items for performance.
If you are using Webflow CMS API to update the items or any other way that does not involve publishing the site, the cache will not expire until the site is published again.
You may want to try disabling this by using fs-cmsload-cache = false on your list element.
Hi there - so I added that to the custom attributes of my list element and published it, and the user says it hasn’t made any difference. Just to check that was the correct place to add it to?
I have included some screenshots of examples below where you can see the number of CMS items showing does not match the actual number of results that should be showing. E.g. when he searches ‘lalith’ only 2 out of 3 of his workshops show up. Other users also have this problem.
So far we have tested - clearing cache, logging into the accounts that are having issues on my laptop (no issues, so maybe device based?), updating operating systems, trying different browsers, trying different internet speeds. It seems that I am using the newest device and haven’t been able to recreate the issue.
Hi @Support-Luis - there didn’t seem to be a link on your reply, so I sent you some login credentials via a direct message. As yes, you would need to be signed in to use the filtering/searching I am referencing. Let me know if you got them!
Hello - so our user that is having all the issues got a new MacBook recently and now they have all disappeared. However, it is still happening on anyone who has an older device (e.g. 2018). How would we go about fixing this? As it’s a big issue if anyone who doesn’t have an brand new device can’t use our Webflow/Finsweet site setup?
