I’m running into an issue with the CMS Filter on our events page: Continuum events calendar … Everything works fine on my end, but some of my clients in different countries are having trouble with the location filter.
For example, when they search for “London,” they get “No results found,” but sometimes “Vancouver” works. One client also said the filter only works on their iPhone if they type city names in all caps, which is really weird.
I’ve checked for case sensitivity issues and made sure the location names match in the CMS, but the problem still happens. I’m wondering if browser language settings could be affecting it, since the users having trouble are in different countries.
Has anyone run into something like this before? Could this be a language or device-specific issue? Would love any guidance on how to troubleshoot further!
No, they aren’t doing the search/filter on the translated page, just on the English page. Here’s specifically what they said:
Person 1 (Bordeaux, France): It does work on my iPad browser, and it works on my iPhone when the name of the city is in CAPITAL LETTERS. Otherwise it doesn’t… Weird…
Person 2 (Paris, France): If you put “London “ as an example it answers “No results found “ … It has worked once with London then I have reset and put Vancouver and it has not work. I’m looking it from my phone.
And I’m in America and it works fine for me in English.
P.S. — Although that does bring up another separate issue that I wasn’t even aware of: That it looks like the search/filter doesn’t work at all on the Weglot translated pages! How to get your search/filter to work there?
I have been testing on my end and have not had any luck recreating the issue, even translating the website and filtering the list works as expected in every language available.
I have requested the help of a teammate in France to see if he can recreate the issue.
One thing that I have noticed, that should not affect the functionality, is that you have added the script to the </body> section of the custom code. Could you please move it to the <head> section and let me know if the issue persists?
Okay, I moved it to the head tag and I’ve reached back out to my clients to see if they’re still experiencing the issue. I’ll check back here when I hear back from them — thanks!
@Support-Luis I heard back from my client in France. Here is her email:
“Thank you for trying to fix this issue.
Testing from my phone it seems to work less than before From 6 test only it has worked only one. It’s an apple device.
I am curious of the others results”
I just tested in various conditions and all tests have passed without any error.

Looking for testing more but so far I cannot reproduce any “No result found” or any query-in-caps issue.
Thanks so much, @vincent.bidaux! It is odd, isn’t it?
I sent my client an email to run through all those steps and gather that data, so hopefully we can get to the bottom of it all!
