Sync stucks, nothing is being updated

Hey, I use CMS Bridge with Unlimited plan, but have some problems.

I am syncing Airtable → Webflow. The configuration was fine, items were created on first sync, after that I deployed some sync updates and they were fine, too.

But now when I’m trying to sync the database I am getting logged out after some time, the sync status stucks and not even single record is updated.

I wasted a few days for trying to perform an update but the result is exactly the same. It stucks with progress on Airtable extension after I was logged out after some time.

Could you please help me with this issue?

I paid unlimited plan with yearly subscription, it costed me a lot and for now the extension is totally useless.

EDIT:

After I went to the “edit mode” on connection, on CMS Bridge Airtable extension and clickec “sync” it successfully updated 24 items and then it stopped the update. There were one error in the result window, but all of my CMS B-Message field are empty, so no log for this error…

EDIT 2:

After few attempts it started processing the whole database, as I can see that CMS-B Status is being changed to “Re: published in Webflow”, but I don’t think these items are really updated… I mean I added missing images for the records on an ‘attachment’ field, but after they are updated I don’t see the images in Webflow (yes, this field is synced with CMS Bridge).

EDIT 3:

Seems like updating all other fields except the ‘attachment’ field works properly, but it’s so hard to troubleshoot this as there are no logs why these were not updated. Inside the ‘attachments’ field I have up to 20 images that should be sent to the multi-images ‘gallery’ field in Webflow. But this field remains empty after the update. These images are *.jpg files, not bigger than 1MB each.

EDIT 4:

Now the sync stuck again on “Sync in Progress” message and none of items is being updated… I even removed my connection and mapped it once again, but this still happens…

Hi David, looks like we are facing something similar. NONE of the syncs we set up previously are working, nor can we set up any new ones.

Disconnected, reconnected, new tokens, etc. Not sure what’s going on. CMS Bridge being a relatively new product I’d imagine there might be a few bugs to iron out.

This is our forum post on the matter: https://forum.finsweet.com/t/cms-bridge-sync-button-not-triggering-sync

If you manage to figure it out please share another update.
Thanks & good luck.

Thanks!

It definitely looks like CMS Bridge bug as we did exactly the same as on their video tutorial on YT.

Use Case:

We currently have over 7,500 records in Airtable, and we’re using No-Bull to sync these records with Webflow. However, the issue we face is that each time we add new records, we need to sync the entire database, which consumes a significant amount of resources and time.

Is it possible to use CMS Bridge to sync only the newly added or updated records in Airtable, rather than re-syncing the entire database?

Hey @david4! I’ve replied to @team3 previous thread but also wanted to let you know that we are looking into it. Apologies for the inconvenience

Hey @chetan! Yes! CMS Bridge can selectively publish your items by using Airtable views. The added benefit is that this will lower the amount of credits used per sync!

You can read more here!

Hey,
We will need to iterate over the records to check what changed and what needs to be updated, but we update only the records that are not synced.
We will try to improve as much as possible the process in following days.

Guys, I see this message for 3 days. When I click ‘cancel’ button nothing happens and the message still appears. So I can’t cancel it or proceed a new attempt. It just stucks in this position.

We really, really need to update our database ASAP.

I am struggling with a similar issue on my side. About an hour ago I tried again, and Airtable revoked the integration access from CMS Bridge (assuming this has to do with the fixes being worked on). Upon re-authorizing it, all my syncs seemingly ran successfully. However, I realised not all fields were updated across all items (despite the success message).

Upon trying to make further changes and deploy them, the sync is back to being frozen with zero progress. This is for all my connections, with and without reference fields.

Is there any indication that a problem has been identified and being worked on? I just need to know if we should be holding our breath or if we should look elsewhere for a more reliable solution.

With how expensive bridge is, I’ve reverted back to using Make to have my Airtable-Webflow sync, and find Whalesync cheap in comparison given their extensive integration and autosync functionality. Any others?

@here

We have fixed the issue regarding the Reference Fields Syncing.

The solution involves a slightly different workflow and we’ve updated our docs (Connect Reference Fields - Docs | CMS Bridge) to reflect the same. Please follow the steps mentioned in the docs and try again.

If something’s not working, let us know.

Still not syncing for me, even with only 4 records (they have reference fields). I’ve used nearly 100 credits trying to sync between Airtable and webflow with only errors to show

@hello17, even when following the new docs? Could you please try again so we know it is not a carried issue from the last failed sync?

We will address the lost credits, more info coming soon on this.

FYI - we don’t even have HAVE reference fields in some of the tables we’re syncing and it’s still not working properly.

There IS an improvement from last time though, at least the Sync button is actually triggering a sync. But it’s getting stuck after only connecting these fields:

  • Name
  • Slug
  • Airtable Record ID
  • 1 custom single line text field

You can see in the screenshot that the completion of the sync is hanging & all the empty Webflow fields that didn’t make it over.

Hopefully you can sort this out soon as we are on the Unlimited Plan and are literally are on hold to sync a few hundred records, urgently, for a variety of clients and projects…

Hey,
We are constantly working to fix all the issues.
Can you please tell me if you are updating something while the database is syncing?

To clarify, do you mean if after we press the Sync button if we’re working on / updating anything in AirTable or Webflow DURING the sync? If so, then no we are not. Pressing sync and touching nothing, fingers crossed hoping it works.

UPDATE: From earlier today, I see about 40 minutes later after pressing the button we received this timeout error.
