Good day,
Can anyone help me with this simple filter issue. I only have one cms and I only wish to filter it by category. I have a category cms and an portfolio cms with a reference field to the category cms. Just trying to filter everything according to category.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @jillbascome!
I apologize for the delay…
CMS Filter requires a match with the text content of the filter field. If you add a hidden text linked to the image and add the fs-cmsfilter-field="Category"
Attibute, it should filter the images by their categories.
Let me know if it works for you!
Good day Pedro,
I am sorry but I am still having an issue. I placed the attribute as recommended and checked the attribute in the “menu text label” had the same value. But when I click it the same thing happens…everything blanks out and the header even shrinks. I have some code in there for the grid and I am wondering if that is a problem. If so I don’t mind removing it and keeping the grid simple. But I hope it can be resolved as is. Could it be the CMS name I changed? But I made sure the slug was the same…it looks like everything is where it’s supposed to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Good day @jillbascome
I think your code is not the issue, don’t worry.
Try linking the hidden text to the “Name” element of the “Categories Collection List” that way the elements will link to the filters.
( I can’t do it on your site but it will appear something like this)
Try it and let me know, if you need any help ask me
Hi Pedro,
I have done as you explained and attached screenshots of all I have done…The form has the categories cms…should it be connected instead to the portfolio cms since I do have the reference field to the categories…is that what I have done wrong? Please see the attached screenshots.
My apologies, I know this is a simple fix and I have done this before but I just don’t get it. Even rebuilt it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Jill

Here is the link to a new page I tried to rebuild it
Hi @jillbascome
Make sure to link the identifier text to the same reference field as the filters, both texts with the fs-cmsfilter-field=IDENTIFIER
need to match to work with CMS Filter.
If you have any questions let me know
