CMS Nest issue – "Current CMS Page" option missing for link in Webflow

Hi everyone,
I’m currently following the official Finsweet Attributes tutorial for CMS Nest (List Nest - Nest more than 5 items and multiple collections in Webflow), and everything works fine up until the last step.

But here’s the issue:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Webflow no longer shows the “Current CMS Page” option when I try to link to the parent CMS item (for example, when adding a link to a button or a clickable wrapper inside a fs-cmsnest-element="item").

Here’s what I’ve double-checked:

  • The structure is properly set up with parent and nested collections using CMS Nest,
  • I’m using fs-cmsnest-element="item" correctly,
  • The reference field is configured and connected properly,
  • I’m on the CMS Template page of the parent collection.

Has anyone experienced this before?
Could it be a recent Webflow update that changed this behavior? Any ideas on how to fix or work around this and make the nested item link to the parent CMS page?

Thanks a lot in advance! :folded_hands:

Hey @i.zhang! Could you share a read-only link to your project? I’ve seen this behavior on multi-image fields.

Webflow just released some big CMS updates, maybe we could look for an alternative there!

Hey Luis,

Thanks for the reply!

You’re spot on — I am using a multi-image field inside the nested collection. That might explain the issue!
I noticed that Webflow no longer shows the “Current CMS Page” option when trying to link from an element inside the nested multi-image list.

Since this is a client project, I’d prefer to share the read-only link privately. Let me know the best way to send it to you — happy to DM or use another channel you recommend!

Also curious to hear if there’s already a known workaround with Webflow’s recent CMS changes.

Thanks again :raising_hands:

You can absolutely DM me the link!
