Issue with Table of Contents Not Creating the Right Link

Hi there.

We are having issues with the Table of Contents not producing the actual folder or url, so its not working.

Here’s the staging site link showing the issue -Cybersecurity Challenges in 2024: Key Threats & Solutions

See attached image:

Here is the read-only link: Webflow - Umetech

We have tested this with the Finsweet support tool and it shows as valid but still not working.

Hey @aaron2! This is an interesting one, I can see the script is working due to the anchor links and IDs being added to the elements as well as the Table of Contents being created dynamically from the headings found on the Rich Text

What I am unsure of is why it is using the production domain as the base URL. Are there any redirects in place?

Yes we do have redirects setup on the site. We recently migrated from WordPress to Webflow with a new site. So these are standard redirects for the url changes.

However, we have the TOCs working on other sites where we have redirects setup.

And for me that doesn’t explain why the URL for anchor link is not being created properly inside of the Blog post.

Anything we can do to fix or no?

Any ideas on what we can do to fix?

Hey @aaron2, I’ve been taking a look and nothing seems wrong with the setup. the table is being created properly and the links have the correct anchor links.

I asked about potential redirects because even when clicking directly on the HTML href redirects to the home page with the anchor link applied to the URL.

Do you have any custom script that may be targeting the links on the page?
